Sweet Elvis has a sad past, but his future looks bright!

He was a staff favorite at Riverside shelter, and the rescue coordinator cried when she learned we were there for Elvis. She was worried he would not make it out alive because of an injury in his hind leg.

We brought him to our specialty vet who performed multiple xrays and determined there were several old fractures in both hind legs. He did not feel rebreaking and pinning his bones was in Elvis' best interest because he shows no sign of pain and runs and jumps and plays like any happy, energetic dog. Aside from a limp he may always have, you would never know Elvis had an injury!
