My former owners left me & my lab buddy, Sly behind when they moved. Riverside Animal Control confiscated us from the vacant home we survived in on our own. At the shelter, my buddy Sly was rescued and I was left behind. I was hidden in the back under a long, matted mess of dirty, moppy hair. Someone found out I was left there AND on the euthanasia list, so she broadcasted my story all over Facebook. When Cause for SB Paws came & got me, it was the first time out of my cell. My first walk in sunshine in a long time. It felt good to accept love, but my fur was so matted I could barely feel a head pat. I was grouchy. All that matting hurt. Then it all changed.

I had a spa day. They had to shave off my long hair, and man did that feel GOOD! Now I am groomed & 100% vetted & feeling each day I become a happier boy. I LOVE to play fetch. Belly rubs are my favorite. I adore other dogs. Kids are OK as long as they're well trained - if they tug at my ears or run after me, I'd probably be very scared.
