Scrappy was found wandering the campus of Rialto High School, in late May, his long locks so dirty and matted, students said he looked like a "big, dirty mop," and no one would touch him. :(

People begged C4SBPs to help this sweet pup, and we knew we had to when he rolled over on his back for a belly rub when we walked up to meet him and determine if he was healthy and friendly. He stole our hearts right away. Luckily a volunteer was able to pick him up and get Scraps to a groomer. The problem was, he was so badly matted, they could not groom him without causing him pain and stress. So the vet had to sedate him in order to rid him of his baseball sized mats. 

When we picked up our boy, he looked like a different dog! His beautiful long hair was gone, but it will grow back silky and beautiful as it should be. He has fit right in with the C4SBP crew and gets along with all dogs big and small, kids and cats. He tends to still cower a bit when people reach down to pet him, but he is even recovering from that. His favorite position is on his back for a belly rub, and he loves to snuggle.
