Nubs was rescued from the Devore Animal Shelter, where she had previously been held as evidence for about a month, in an animal cruelty case. Although we don't know the complete story of how she got her injuries, Nubs' back leg was severed, her tail was cut off, and both her ears were cut. She was also emaciated and malnourished.

Despite all of this, Nubs has been nothing but the happiest puppy since the moment we rescued her. We were able to get her leg and tail properly amputated, and she is now completely healed. She has also tripled in weight in less than a month in our care! Nubs will be at least a medium, if not large, dog when fully grown. She is only 3-4 months old, and still has several months of growing left to do. 

Nubs is very high energy, and doesn't let being a tripawd (three-legged dog) slow her down! She is not much for cuddles, because she is always on the go. She loves rough-housing with the other dogs in her foster home, and even plays with the cat. She has not been around children, but because she is going through an intense teething stage that could last several more months, small children may not be recommened. She wants to chew on anything and everything, which is typically puppy behavior, but her future family should be understanding, patient, and willing to take the time to train her.

Overall, Nubs is an amazing, happy, energetic, and playful dog. After all she's been through, she deserves the most amazing home and life. If you can open your heart and home to Nubs, please apply to adopt our special girl!
