1-2 yr old 5-lb Dallas needs a foster home, or better yet, a forever home! He wound up at San Bernardino City Shelter with possible head trauma. He had no wounds, no broken bones, nothing concerning on ex-rays, but he was circling and having difficulty with balance. A good soul affiliated with the shelter nursed him back to health and he now has no signs of head trauma and is ready to find a hime. He really just needed some TLC, quiet relaxation time, and crate rest. A little more about Dallas from his current caretaker: His only real issue is that he’s afraid of men and doesn’t like being picked up, so you must take your time with him. If you go slow, he’s fine. He’s afraid of small children and will cry when they approach, and run to his bed and shake. He just needs someone who is able to help him through his fears. Someone who can comfort him. Show him it’s ok and love him. He was seriously injured and I’m pretty sure it was a man or small child that caused the injury. Also, we decided to allow him to roam the front rooms so I pee pad trained him and he’s doing great. Dallas still prefers to go outside but when I’m working I don’t allow him access to the outside. I’m afraid he will slip through the fence, fall in the pool, etc. because he is so little.
