Janis and her siblings, Aretha and Carly, were dropped at our vet's office in a box, dirty, dehydrated and emaciated. They were all so scared it took about a week in foster care for these three to start playing and acting like puppies. Now they can't stop playing! They are still shy but have come such a long way.

Janis has been the most confident of all three and was the first to approach us and wag her tail, but she is still shy. She avoids people and prefers the companionship of dogs, but now we can pet her and pick her up. Janis would love a home with people who have worked with shy dogs who can continue to socialize her. She also definitely needs other playful dogs as they bring her out of her shell. Kids 13 & older who won't startle her.
