Meet beautiful tripod Joy, AKA Sassy from Western Riverside Shelter, who has no idea she’s a Tripod and is the HAPPIEST, most joyful girl in the world, thus the name; Sassy just did not fit! 

She wound up injured at Western Riverside Shelter on 6/18, injuries consistent with being hit by a car. She was on a chip hold, and her family never came for her. :( The shelter decided to amputate the broken leg due to ”length of stay and severity.” When we learned about her, we knew we had to help her, so a volunteer hurried to the shelter to pull her. Her surgery is healing very well, and as you can see she runs and plays like any other dog! She is so friendly with all people big and small, all dogs big and smal, and even her foster mom’s cats. Joy is a DREAM dog, and her missing leg just makes her extra exceptional!
