Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat) : : Female : : Baby : : Large
Mid April San Bernardino City Shelter sent out an urgent plea, asking rescues to pick up 3 malnourished underaged pups dropped off in a bucket smelling of gasoline. All pups had chemical burns most likely from the gas. Zoey snd her sister Lexi were much healthier than their brother Harry, and as you can see Zoey is the biggest of the crew (16 lbs as of 6/7!) and has turned into quite the chunky monkey. She is smart, sassy, a little mischevious, and a lot adorable. They were so severely malnourished we could not even tell what breed they were for almost 4 weeks while their bodies healed and gained sufficient weight. Their docs guessed chihuahua or very small Pitbulls. Now that they are healthy, chunky and flourishing, we can tell they’re Pitbull mixes of some sort. They are constantly around kids and dogs of all sizes in their loving foster home, and they love everyone. They haven’t met a cat since we rescued them, but they are young enough to be trained to love kitties. They prefer a home with at least one other friendly, playful medium-sized to big dogs to keep them socialized as they grow older.
