Sweet little 30 pound Maggie was left at a Rite Aid, tied to a bench with a free sign.  A family saw her tied up and she broke their hearts so they took her in. They tried to figure out why she dribbled constantly and had her wear diapers, but their vet could not resolve it. That's when the family contacted Cause for SB Paws and asked if we could take her into our rescue. We took her to several vets and discovered she had a genetic abnormality that caused her urethra not to connect properly to her bladder. We posted her story and California Surgical Specialists asked us to bring her in because they have treated many cases like Maggie's. So she had her tubes reshaped and realigned using laser  surgery, and her dribbling has improved tenfold! She no longer needs to wear a diaper and a medication called Proin is also helping her.  

This sweet girl is so small and unique looking, so we are not certain on her breed. She attracts so much attention on walks and people often ask, "Wow what breed is she? She is so sleek and beautiful!" At her foster home, she gets along with big and small dogs, and after initially being scared of her foster dad and preferring her foster mom, she is now comfortable with both men and women.
