We met Q-Tip at an event at San Bernardino City shelter. A couple carried in a dirty little dog matted so bad he had dreadlocks. He was skin and bones and we were heartbroken to see him in such a state. We said absolutely not, he will not go into that shelter. Instead he went straight to the vet and groomer, had to be shaved down and got a much needed dental. 

Q-Tip was so weak and run down, he often toppled over. But he was determined to regain his strength and get healthy so he could start a new life. He has regained strength and weight and he even plays now! He may be hard of hearing. Sometimes he looks when you call; other times he doesn't. He can definitely hear us when we get home. He is happiest laying down with you and feeling you against him - makes him feel safe. 

He is looking for a mellow human with mellow dogs. Rambunctious dogs overwhelm him. He is good with cats.
